Well established and respected leader in surface preparation construction equipment is looking for a dynamic person with strong leadership skills to develop and manage the development of regional sales in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, and Kansas. Hiring for ability and knowledge in manufacturing sales. Travel within the region frequently to communicate, motivate, and participate in training of manufacturer reps to assure all aspects of customer satisfaction remains at a high level.
Requirements include: minimum of 5 years of sales management experience within manufacturing; BS in sales, marketing or equivalent is required. Can demonstrate success in leading and managing a sales team.

Position Description
Position Title: Regional Sales Manager
Dept: Outside Sales
Immediate Supervisor: Sales Manager
Basic Function:
Oversee sales efforts within your respective region to reach and maintain established sales goals as well as maintain the desired level of customer service.
Essential Duties:
-Educate Manufacturers Sales representative(s) on EDCO machines/accessories.
-Penetration of new markets where Equipment Development Company does not have distribution. Recruitment of high quality Manufacturing Sales Rep(s) prospects as a method of expanding Equipment Development Co., Inc., business.
-Evaluation of Manufacturers Rep(s) already established. Establish realistic sales quotas and methods to attain those quotas.
-Conduct product training and application seminars for Manufacturers Sales Reps and EDCO customers
-Replacement, when necessary, of Manufacturers Sales Rep(s) not performing to the benefit of Equipment Development Company’s sales and marketing goals.
-Travel to support, evaluate and train new and existing Manufacturers Sales Rep personnel.
- Assist Manufacturers Sales Rep(s) in development of key accounts. This includes, and is not limited to, establishing key contacts, providing direction in identifying new business opportunities, and negotiation of large opportunities.
- Conducting regular field travel with Manufacturers Sales Rep(s), providing sales process coaching, product training.
- Ensure key account plans are developed by each Manufacturers Sales Rep(s).
- Providing pricing guidelines to Manufacturers Sales Rep(s).
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend local and national trade shows on an as-needed basis.
- Responsible for the sale of products in a specified Region per plan and within established budget.
- Oversee the business relationship with dealers and distributors; including review of performance to ensure all market segments are serviced.
- Maintain direct contact with certain major accounts within the Region.
- Confer with Sales Manager, participating in the development of sales policy, recommending product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
- Select and develop distributors, dealers and other outlets.
- Strive to achieve quarterly and annual region goals.
- Confer with Sales Manager and/or Marketing Manager in planning, forming, and executing special projects, sales strategies, marketing programs in Region.
-Managing Region expense budget
-Collaborating with the Sales Manager to develop annual sales forecast for regional sales and participate in the determination of market potential, market share, and sales estimates for the assigned Region
- Implementing corporate sales directives within the Region.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university; or eight (8) years’ sales experience with at least three years in sales management position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to articulate information and respond to questions from customers.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in various situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software.

Work Environment:
Varies – indoors/outdoors; weather conditions are required to conduct business; able to sit/drive a company vehicle; regularly required to stand, walk and talk or hear, push and pull. Employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. Travel required for this position is 80% - 90%.
